With over 20 years of industry experience, Mary-Jo has specialised in development and has a strong background in production, having previously worked as a Series Producer, Producer and Production Coordinator.

Before the move to ‘down under’ from London, she served as the Head of International and UK Development at Woodcut Media, a Global 100 company. Her experience also includes senior development positions at the BBC, ITV, and several leading independent production companies.

Mary-Jo works across Unscripted, ranging from history, true crime, access-driven, talent-led documentaries, and factual entertainment, and has won commissions in the UK, US, Australia, and NZ for networks including SBS, C4, Amazon, NBCU-Oxygen, Paramount+, Sky, Discovery, A&E, Disney NatGeo, BBC, and ITV.

Some recent commission and recommission highlights include – “Hospice Heroes” on Discovery Three, “The Titanic in Colour” on SBS/Channel 4 (which launched an ‘In Colour’ franchise), “Fatal Family Feuds” on NBCU Oxygen, “The World’s Most Dangerous Prisoners” on Paramount+-Filmrise, “The Murder of Meredith” as an Amazon Exclusive, “Queens That Changed the World” on SBS/Channel 4, “The Suitcase Murders” on Discovery, and “WW2: Women on the Frontline” on SBS/Channel 4.
