Australian series Troppo will travel across Europe, thanks to new deals for the crime drama starring Thomas Jane and Nicole Chamoun. Canal+ Group’s thriller channel Polar+ snatched up pay, streaming and sell-through rights to it for French-speaking territories, and AMC Networks Central Europe acquired free, pay and streaming rights for the show, which premiered on Australia’s ABC and debuted on Amazon Freevee in the U.S. in May 2022. RTP2 Portugal snatched up free-TV rights in the territory, while Amazon Freevee has Troppo for Germany and the U.K., and Scandinavian pay-TV group Viaplay carries the show in the Nordics.
