When not pursuing side endeavors such as curing cancer, brokering peace in the Middle East and training squirrels to eat at tiny picnic tables, Joel makes TV shows. He has worked as Producer, Director and Writer for networks including ABC, NBC, A&E, Discovery, HGTV, USA, Turner, Disney and national syndication. Joel was part of the team that launched both HGTV and Nat Geo networks. In 2001 he founded Screen Door Entertainment, producing well over 1,000 hours of programming for a variety of networks. But it was a chance encounter in 2013 that truly changed his life when he gave half his sandwich to what he thought was a homeless person. That person turned out to be none other than Greg Quail and the rest, as they say, is history.
