Keshet International has commissioned the six-part docuseries “Hitler’s Treasure Hunters” from production outfit Perpetual Entertainment (“Troppo”).
KI’s second straight-to-series factual order for international distribution figures into a new Greenlight: Factual & Formats commissioning initiative. The show centres around Heinrich Himmler’s Das Ahnenerbe, a branch of the Nazi SS that sought religious relics and high-value international artifacts – such as the Holy Grail and Thor’s Hammer – in order to gain solid footing in the war and advance Aryan supremacy.
The show’s release next year is set to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the death of Hitler and the end of World War II.
