Stacey Dooley’s Australia: Off the Beaten Track
6 x 60 minutes for Channel 4 UK, SBS Australia, ITV Studios International (2026)
From its bustling cosmopolitan cities to ancient rainforests and sun-drenched coastlines, Australia offers a diverse range of culture and activities. However, it’s not all beaches and inner city coffee – join presenter Stacey Dooley in this six-part series as she goes off the beaten track, exploring the often unseen parts of Australia, home to a variety of colourful characters and places.
This is immersive documentary-making at its best, as Stacey experiences outback life, ranging from life on cattle stations, pregnancy testing cows, learning how to crack a whip rodeo style, following an outback burlesque group for a week, playing footy on Kangaroo Island and even digging for gold! Stacey traverses the country and across four different states between the locations of Kalgoorlie, Kangaroo Island, Tamworth, Kilkivan, Cape Tribulation and Marble Bar.
